June 11 – St. Louis Wind Collaboration
The St. Louis Wind Collaboration is an octet of St. Louis area professional musicians that performs classical and contemporary repertoire.
June 25 – Gateway City Big Band
The Gateway City Big Band is a 17-piece dance band with two vocalists that has been entertaining audiences in the St. Louis area and beyond since 1966.
July 9 (Farmers’ Market Greenway) – Brian Vaccaro Jazz Trio
The Brian Vaccaro Jazz Trio is one of St. Louis’ own musically developed groups. The trio will play hard bop style OGD trio jazz.
July 23 – Narda Shirley and the Nation
Narda Shirley and the Nation inspires and informs listeners of all ages and backgrounds through praise and worship music that transcends race. They perform a collection of inspirational music that can unify that Nation.
August 13 – Meramec Jazz Band
The Meramec Jazz Band from St. Louis Community College at Meramec is an ensemble of freelance professional musicians that perform the finest big band repertoire.
August 27 – Maple Jam Band
Maple Jam Band is a local group that performs acoustic rock, blues and classic rock with a touch of country and bluegrass.

Financial assistance for the Kirkwood Area Arts Council’s 2011 Making Music Concert Series has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency; the Clifford Willard Gaylord Foundation; Commerce Bank; PNC Bank, the Webster-Kirkwood Times, and McDonnell’s Marketplace. The Kirkwood Area Arts Council, an all-volunteer run, nonprofit organization promotes appreciation of and participation in the arts and helps artists and arts organizations share their creations with the community.
